The words “Beer Fest in June” should be enough to wet your palette; but down at the Sunny Rest Resort in Palmerton, Penn., they decided to spice things up a bit.
On Saturday, June 28, from 1 – 5 p.m., Sunny Rest Resort (also known as a nudist resort tucked away in the beautiful Pocono Mountains), is hosting its annual Sunny Rest Beer Festival, known officially as the Bare Beach Beer Bash.
What can you expect at the Bare Beach Beer Bash?
The Bare Beach Beer Bash brings hundreds of folks to the resort to enjoy live music, food, dancing, and a pool party. Beer vendors can attend for free (they just need to provide beer for the guest to sample), meaning the selection of beers featured at the event are usually vast and varied.
Nudist partygoers can purchase advanced tickets for $16, or buy them the day of the event, for $18.
What do you mean by nude?
Some folks get a bit bashful when the word “nude” is brought up in conversation. We decided it important to clarify ourselves. When we say nude … do we really mean nude?
Yes, we do.
While other parts of the nudist resort have a clothing optional rule, nudity is absolutely required at the beer festival area. And nudity is always required in the pool area and hot tub, so no matter you cut it, if you plan on attending the event, plan on going without clothes.
The nudist breakdown
The Beer Festival will take place on the Volleyball Court from 1p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at Sunny Rest Resort in Palmerton, Penn.
Enjoy unlimited beer sampling from dozens of local and imported breweries.
Live poolside music by Hunter Monroe will also take place during that time.
Later that night, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., the Flashers Night Club will be open for dancing, or you can stick by the poolside for the evening pool party, accompanied by music from Black Diamond Express Band.
If you plan on attending (and staying), rooms and campsites are available, and call-ahead reservations are recommended (call 1-866-SUNNY50).
