Muskegon Oktoberfest ABOUT THE EVENT: "An Oktoberfest celebration of live music, food, craft beers and wines along the lighted trails of Muskegon State Park -with a distinctive Michigan taste coupled with Bavarian flair." Join us in an intimate setting amongst an expansive 400 acre complex enjoying an all day event celebrating Michigan and German cultures! Last years event saw over 1800 visitors! ADMISSION: Day: Hansel and Gretel Taste Trail 12pm-to 4pm $5.00 per person Children 6 & Under Free Ticket only good until 4pm unless you have purchased Taste of The Trail ticket for the 4pm -Midnight venue Evening: Muskegon Oktoberfest Taste Of The Trail -$10.00 advance until September 30 at midnight $15.00 after that date and at the gate. Camping at Muskegon State Park is also available and encouraged. This is a rain or shine all ages family-fun event. There will be several activities planned throughout the day for the whole family to enjoy as well as great food and drinks! Come on out and celebrate Muskegon's own Oktoberfest! SCHEDULE* *Schedule subject to change Friday October 3rd 5PM-10PM HAHN FASS PARTEI TAPPING OF THE KEGS! This is a private tapping of the kegs party for all registered campers at Muskegon State Park. Free admission. Saturday October 4th 12PM-4PM HANSEL AND GRETEL TASTE TRAIL (There will only be alcoholic beverages confined to the main tent during this time period.) The whole family will enjoy a hike through the forest following the pebbles left behind by Hansel and Gretel to find their way home from the Black Forest. While traveling along the trail, participants will also enjoy Bavarian and American inspired games for both kids and adults at various locations including INCLUDED ACTIVITiES- Luge Track Pumpkin Roll, Striker, Moonwalks, Pumpkin carving station, cookie decorating and more. Pumpkins available for purchase onsite from Stibitz Farms! $5.00 extra for 3 runs on the summer luge! (Please note... there is no live music during this time period and the evening Taste Trail is not open until 5pm and will require an additional ticket purchase for the evening event. BEER PRICING $3-$4 Range BRING YOUR ID IF YOU PLAN TO DRINK! *ATM available outside the lodge *Sodas, coffee and hot chocolate available PARKING Motor vehicle permit/ recreation passport required to enter. The cost is $11 a year for Michigan residents and is available at Secretary of State when you renew your license plates. For out- of- state vehicles the cost is $8 for a day pass or $29 for an annual/year pass. These can be purchased at the MWSC when you arrive. We recommend carpooling!!! THE SHUTTLE WILL BE RUNNING BACK AND FORTH FROM THE LAKE MICHIGAN BEACH PARKING LOT TO THE COMPLEX ENTRANCE OF OKTOBERFEST EVERY HALF HOUR. IT WILL ALSO MAKE STOPS IN BETWEEN AT MEMORIAL DR. AND THE BLOCKHOUSE PARKING LOTS. ONLY A 5 MINUTE SHUTTLE RIDE! THE SHUTTLE RUNS FROM 5:30 UNTIL 12:30AM. FROM MEMORIAL DRIVE OR GILES RD TURN LEFT SOUTH ONTO SCENIC AND FOLLOW SHUTTLE SIGNS INTO BEACH PARKING AREAS. RECREATION PASSPORT REQUIRED OR AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT PARK ENTRY BOOTH. PLEASE NOTE: THE LAKE MICHIGAN CAMPGROUND ACROSS THE STREET WILL NOT BE OPEN TO OVERFLOW PARKING AS THE CAMPGROUND IS FILLING UP FOR THAT WEEKEND.
