The ninth annual Delano Old-Fashioned Christmas is set for Saturday, December 2 with various events from 8:30am-8:00pm. The 2017 Delano Old-Fashioned Christmas will feature some exciting new additions. The traditional Christmas event encompasses the entire Delano down town area. Many businesses & public buildings have always had and will again offer some wonderful traditions including the American Legion Breakfast with Santa, ECFE Teddy Bear Tea, Girl Scout Santa Shoppe @ St. Peter Catholic Church, ECFE Holiday Boutique, Delano Senior Center Hometown Boutique & Bake Sale, Create Your Own Ornament(Delano Great River Regional Library & Crow Folk Art House), Big Woods Garden Club Holiday Flower Bulb Give Away, Meet Mr & Mrs Claus at Love Inc, The Fantastic Marble Maze, music scattered through out the various stages in town & various ethnic treats offered in many local businesses and public buildings. New this year starting at 2pm is the outdoor Town Center aspect of Delano Old-Fashioned Christmas, this area will include a OFC World Market, Music, Brats hot off the grille, Gluwein. Special brew release by Lupine Brewing Delano, The MN Krapus along with Nikolaus, fire pits situated through out the event to warm our fingers, and more all accented by a magnificent 20' fresh tree in the Town Center. There will also a Danish Christmas Dinner at Bonde Bistro, Blessing of the Kegs & taping of the special Christmas brew in the town Center, Girl Scout Christmas Tree Walk, Costume Judging Contest, Santa Parade, Snowstormer Silent Auction, and topping it all off with a Noel Pub Crawl and a bit of ceremonial canon fire. So put on your finest Old-Fashioned Holiday Attire and come spend your day in Beautiful Downtown Delano shopping, eating, enjoying the entertainment & just plain having Old-Fashioned fun.
