Special Olympics Northern California is hosting the 7th annual Bike the Bridges Ride and Brew Fest. This event will be taking place on June 12th, 2016, located at the scenic Waterfront Park in Martinez. This event benefits over 17,000 athletes of Special Olympics Northern CA and is being organized by local law enforcement who are volunteering their time to help raise money for our athletes. Because of events like Bike the Bridges, Special Olympics Northern CA can provide year-round athletic training and competition to children & adults with intellectual disabilities at no cost to them or their families. This year, we have several quality companies participating in the post-race Brew Fest. These include: • Deschutes Brewery • Eight Birdges Brewing Co. • Firestone Walker Brewing Company • Five Suns Brewing Company • Lagunitas Brewing Co. • Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing • Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. • Six Rivers Brewing Company • St. Killian Importing • Working Man Brewing Company • EJ Phair Alehouse Our 2016 Brew Fest will run 11:30 am to 4:30 pm, and will include music from the Michael Beck Band, an award ceremony for the cycle races, and an all-you-can-eat BBQ. For riders, the Beer Fest unlimited beer wristband is discounted to $15 per person if purchased at the time of registration. For guests, the wristbands are only $20, and the BBQ is an additional $15 per person. That amounts to $35 dollars for unlimited beer and a BBQ lunch.
