Double Feature Beer Festival

Shmaltz Brewing will celebrate the second anniversary of the opening of its Clifton Park brewery with an event called the Double Feature Beer Festival, running from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday (6/27). The first half, from 1 to 3 p.m., features session beers and other lower-alcohol brews, while the second, from 3 to 5 p.m., will showcase doubles, imperials, barrel-aged and other heavy beers. There will also be a-la-carte food, brewery tours, barrel tastings and live music. A dozen New York State breweries and select national breweries will join Shmaltz including Rushing Duck, Rare Form, Keegan Ales, Brown’s Brewing Company, Paradox Brewing Co., Common Roots, CH Evans/Albany Pump Station, Speakeasy, Alphabet City, Bronx Brewing, Mad Jack Brewing, KUKA – Andean Brewing, 21st Amendment Brewery and others. Proceeds benefit the New York State Brewers Association and brewery neighbor the Helping Hands School.
