The Downtown Chili Showdown and Brew Ha Ha will be a truly epic day! Red Shoe Cville will be hosting the first ever completely LOCAL Blind Beer Battle. Almost all the local breweries have already committed to being there and you, yes YOU are going to decide the first ever People’s Choice Champion!! We are going to take away all the logos and let you decide purely on taste who brews your favorite beer. We also are going to have incredibly unique chili competition. Get your taste buds ready because we will have many local restaurants on hand and also incredible home cooks all working hard to win your votes for People’s Chili Champion. There will also be a kids zone, photo booth by MoxBox and a silient disco. We promise it will be one amazing day! Open to home cooks, restaurants, businesses and non-profits who will all compete in one category for multiple awards. Prizes and trophies will be awarded from People’s Choice(most votes from attendees) and Judges Choice(determined by a panel of professional and celebrity judges). Teams are also eligible to compete in the Best Booth competition (but not required). Restaurants can cook in their commercial grade kitchens and bring the chili onsite but home cooks will be required to cook there. We are asking each and every team to bring 5 to 10 gallons of chili.
