Firkin Monday: Real Ale Cask Beer

ECHO AfterDark presents “FIRKIN MONDAY”: The largest cask beer event in Vermont History ECHO AfterDark has teamed up with over a fourteen regional breweries to present 15 varieties of one-of-a-kind brews created in casks or ‘firkins’. The event is limited to 500 guests and will take place at ECHO from 6 to 9 p.m. Participating breweries include: Lost Nation, Trapp Family Brewery, Foley Brothers Brewing, Brown’s Brewing Company, Baxter Brewing Company, Sebago Brewing, Rising Tide Brewing, Smuttynose Brewing Company, Shipyard Brewing Company, Keegan Ales,Otter Creek Brewing Company, The Shed Brewery, Burlington Beer Company, and the Allagash Brewing Company. Additionally, four breweries are collaborating to create two more casks of beer - Trapp Family Brewery with Otter Creek Brewing Company and Foley Brothers Brewing Company with Brown’s Brewing Company. Additional support provided by g.housen distribution. Brewers will be on hand to present their one-of-a-kind "real ales" and describe the ingredients and process they used to create them. Tickets include tastings of all beers presented (each guest receives 15 drink tickets), commemorative tasting glass and light appetizers prepared by Bluebird Tavern. There will also be hearty food offerings by Bluebird Tavern available for purchase ($10) such as Beer Braised Smokehouse Bratwurst, Hot Kraut and Beer Mustard; Pulled Pork Sandwich, B&B Pickles and Coleslaw and; Shaved Lamb Leg, Pita, Hot Sauce, White Sauce.
