FREE General Admission with RSVP for 21+ The Lone Star Beer Texas Heritage Festival will feature some of the best music of Texas with performances by the Old 97’s, alt-country favorites from Dallas who released their tenth studio album, Most Messed Up, in 2014. Also set to play are Austin’s sons of psychedelic rock The Black Angels; Austin-based Grammy Award-winning Latin funk orchestra Grupo Fantasma, who have performed with everyone from Prince and Maceo Parker to Spoon and Daniel Johnston; Austin honky-tonk legend Dale Watson; and soul singer and Corpus Christi native LaTasha Lee & The BlackTies. Along with these five eclectic Texas artists, additional local acts from the community surrounding each date will be announced shortly. A delicious variety of local food vendors to be announced later will bring tasty Texas food unique to each city. The Lone Star Beer Texas Heritage Festival will also include a Texas-sized assortment of entertaining activities specially curated for Festival guests. The Lone Star Beer Texas Heritage Festival will be held in the main front parking lot of Gilley’s Dallas, Gilley’s Jack Daniel’s Saloon and The Loft. Each date in the series is free and open to the public for ages 21+. Attendance is first come first served and limited to capacity. However, a limited number of tickets will also be offered for $25, which will guarantee admission until 7 p.m. on the day of the festival. 100% of the proceeds from those ticket sales will go to charity. Proceeds from the Austin ticket sales will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas; the Dallas date will benefit the North Texas Food Bank; Houston’s show will benefit the Houston Food Bank; and San Antonio’s date will benefit the San Antonio Food Bank. Each organization is a member of the Feeding America network of food banks. The Lone Star Beer Texas Heritage Festival series is produced by Transmission Events.
