Untapped Festival organizers are pleased to announce the 11th edition of Untapped will take place on October 22nd at Discovery Green in downtown Houston. Now in its fifth year, Untapped energetically encapsulates the eclectic culture of the craft beer while highlighting both emerging bands and established musical talent. Sold-out crowds experience expertly curated lists of breweries and bands. The goal of Untapped is to bring thoughtfully paired music to seasoned beer drinkers and to introduce new and exciting craft beers to discerning music fans. As the festival continues to assist in building connections between the beer and music communities, organizers are thrilled to celebrate artists and breweries they know and love. The Houston musical lineup will feature seven performers including indie rock band Cold War Kids plus Twin Shadow, Deer Tick, Fat Tony, Sarah Jaffe, New York City Queens and Gio Chamba. The beer list will feature over 300 unique craft beers from more than 70 breweries and will reflect both the high quality and special selections festival goers have come to expect from Untapped Festival. “When it comes to its restaurants, bars and breweries,” says Co-founder and GM Corey Pond, “Houston is easily one of our favorite beer cities in America. We thoroughly enjoy producing the event in Houston and look forward to continuing to dive deeper into the local craft community. Since our first Houston Untapped in 2013, the beer scene here has continued to explode. This should be the best beer & brewery lineup we have curated for Houston.” The participating brewery list will be announced soon with the beer list to follow. Untapped will be located at Discovery Green in downtown Houston. The urban green space is located in the heart of the city and attracts over 1.2 million people each year. The beautiful Houston skyline provides a dramatic backdrop for over 600 events at Discovery Green.
